Bacardi Oak Heart Spiced Rum

distilled by Bacardi - Puerto Rico

Brown, maple, cinnamon, nutmeg, honey, and vanilla-flavored flavored rum distilled from molasses. Blend of golden rums.

The latest foray into the spiced rum category, introduced in 2011. Rum, aged 1 - 3 years has maple, cinnamon, nutmeg, honey, and vanilla added and then filtered in a proprietary process.

Bottled at 35% alcohol by volume.

I began my examination of the Oakheart rum with a look at its colour and consistency. The rum displays a golden amber colour, and when I tilted my glass and gave it a slow twirl, I noticed a thin sheen of liquid left on the side. Small legs developed and ran down back into the rum.
