In contrast to its name Claro, this aged rum has been carbon-filtered to remove most of the color gained while aging at least two years in oak barrels. From the American oak barrels, Claro gains a slightly sweet, coconut flavor over notes of smoky oak flavor from the charred barrels.
Claro makes a great addition to classic white rum drinks like daiquiris, rum & tonic and swizzles with a robust, smooth, aged rum flavor that complements other ingredients. Though easily classified as a light rum, Claro has more rum flavor than found in many other popular clear rums.
