Recently licensed to distill spirits, Au Natural Spirits is one of a growing number of artisan distillers founded in recent years. Dan Watson, who holds patents for the scientific approach he has taken in metallurgy, is now taking that approach to blending and distilling sugar cane spirits.

As of early 2008, these products are not yet commercially available though they have been recognized in the Ministry of Rum Tasting Competition in 2007 with several gold medals.

Expect to see more interesting products from this entrepreneur in the coming year and to see these rums on the shelf later in the year.
