Default Caribbean Rum & Beer Festival

I along with many of the regions rum and beer lovers will be attending next month's Caribbean Rum and Beer Festival at the Portvale Sugar Factory in Barbados.
I was fortunate to visit the location a couple of months ago with the organizers of this event. It is an amazing location to hold a rum festival. There is even a small sugar museum at the location, with many pieces of old machinery outside.
Here is a link to the Festival website:-
http://www.rumandbeerfestival.com/
I have also posted many photos of the location on my facebook site for anyone who is interested in seeing the location:-

This promises to be a great couple of days for rum drinkers!! Hopefully I will see some MoR members there. Let me know if any of you will be there.

Unkle,
good news, please make sure you introduce yourself to myself or one of the organizers Cheryl and Glyn. I hope to do a tour of the St.Nicholas Abbey on Thursday 18th Nov. the day before the festival if you are interested. It is the only distillery I have not seen on Barbados so far. It was closed on my last trip.

Getting ready this week to tour the Rum Distillery of Mount Gay, the Mount Gay Visitor Center, the West Indies Rum Distillery, the Cockspur Beach Club, St. Nicholas Abbey, the Foursquare Distillery and as many rum shops as possible. Of course we can't forget the main purpose of the trip, to attend the first Caribbean Rum and Beer Festival as a guest judge. This should be a week to remember!! Hopefully I will remember some of it!!!

You remember 'Unkle Neeko' . . we were roomies in Miami... SALT OF THE EARTH!

Bob, my brother, do (to the best of your abilities--which are great!) 'whoop it up' for me!!

Knowing, of course, my intense jealousy. . . (Coupled with affection.. i swear!)
