Default Xm Rum Finally Coming To Usa From Guyana

Word on the street and filings with the NY State Liquor Authority indicate that Banks DIH is about to launch XM Rum into the US market for 2009. Rumors suggest that all approvals are in and that NY will see the first shipment perhaps in time for XMAS.

The Distributor is Rums of Guyana and Demerara of Long Island according to industry filings.

Coming in will be the 12 year old Millennium, the 10 year old Extra Mature, the V.X.O and the Daguiar all previously only available on the black market in the USA and legally available in Guyana, Europe, the Caribbean and some places in Canada.

XM rum has a cult following and is the so called gold standard of Guyana (Demerara)rums.

Thanks ROGAD.

That is very good news indeed!

After the praise lavished on these rums by Tiare and our brethren across the pond, we anticipate that they may soon be among our favorites.

I can attest to the delight of enjoying the Banks XM 10, a fine example of the Demerara style. Rogad, thanks for digging up the info on this.

I`m so happy for you!

The XM 10 year is fantastic! i`m expecting a new bottle very soon:-) the 12 is also good but the 10 is yummier.

I`m in the process of writing a series of blog posts on demerara rums right now, the first will be posted soon i hope.

To the best of my knowledge from DDL in Guyana XM won't be coming to the US any time soon, but the only constant is change.
