I just saw the St. Nicklaus Abbey in town for $149.95 (10 Year) and the El Dorado 25 in town for $299.95).

Passed up on both purchases for now as I must get my Christmas Bills salted away.

Cheers!

You going to drive 200 miles for a chance at the 25 yr old, the way you once promised you would for the Appleton 30?

I actually went several thousand miles for my Appleton 30 having purchased my bottles a full six months before they were available here. But, I agree it would have made more sense for me to to have sampled yours and left mine sealed. (Still one sealed bottle though.)

As for the trip to Calgary, I am leaving on the 20th of this month a day after the Edmonton Whisky Festival (which I wrote about on my blog today). I was going to email you and let you know I'm bringing something nice to share. We just have to figure out when is a good time to meet and swap samples. (I thought you might like some Botran or some Viscaya, or maybe the Cubaney 25 I am so fond of.)

I had a good rum hunt in New York this past weekend. Was able to pick up two Diplomatico rums, some Pussers 15yr (so excited to sample) and an El Dorado 5yr.

If only all of my hunts could be so successful across the country while I'm traveling LOL

I finally grabbed my first bottle of Flor De Cana 7 year, but I have yet to try it. Looking forward to it. Also grabbed a bottle of the basic Appleton, but I can never remember the name of it. VX, perhaps?

Recently added to the collection are Flor de Cana 18 year old and Santa Teresa 1796 Antiguo de Solera. Looking forward to trying them both.
