Default what's your opinion?

Recently bought 2 new rums I hadn't tried...what is your opinion on:
Ron Matusalem Gran Reserve and Santa Teresa Ron Antiguo de Solera?

To me, the Ron Matusalem was the better of the two.

On my blog I gave Matusalem Gran Reserva a score of 93.5 with the review here.

I gave the Santa Theresa a score of 91 with the review here.

Now these were both very early reviews of mine and so my opinions may be somewhat dated. Basically the Santa Theresa is richer and much more complex, but the smooth easy going nature of the Matusalem makes it much more of an everyday sipper.

Some time back I posted my opinion that the Matusalem lacked enough flavor to back up its wonderful aromas. After trying it again this summer, I've changed my opinion. It is what it is supposed to be, a smooth light sipper, and it really is a good option for a hot summer evening.
