Default Newb Here

Hi Everyone,

Newbie here - I live in Toronto Canada and am therefore subject to the Ontario liquor board (LCBO). As far as liquor stores go, they have a pretty awesome selection of most wines and liquors but a somewhat limited selection of Rum. When I travel I always try to track down run from Martinique. (The LCBO mainly sells liquors that the manufacturers can provide a million bottles of so small "Vintages" stuff is almost impossible to get your hands on). I used to be able to find it in the Nassau airport duty free - but not anymore. I travel to the US at least twice a year but never see it in any stores. I'm looking for tips on how to find Martinique rum.

Welcome to the forums. I can't be of any help when it comes to finding Rhum Martiniquais on your side of the Atlantic, but your post has reminded me of how lucky we are here in London when it comes to the availability of different rums, albeit at scandalously high prices. And what we can't get in London can be found after a short trip across the Channel.
