White Rums

Whether you call them, clear, silver, white or simple 'see through' how do you drink them?

Default Sergeant Classick Silver

Has anyone tried this rum? I bought a couple bottles 'cause it was cheap. But now I think I know why it was on sale. It has a decidedly odd taste. I'm not sure I can even describe it. "Funky" is the word that comes to mind -- and not in a good way. I tried it in a Daiquiri and it was barely drinkable.

Never tried it, however Forrest did a little review on it and he seemed to like it.

It was also reviewed on another site (not sure if I can post). The gold was given the highest rating, though the silver was right behind it.

Hello David.

We're very sorry you did not enjoy your experience with Sgt Classick Silver.

Understandably all people have different tastes/preferences and as such come to different evaluations.

For the record, you probably found our rum(s) at a discounted price because we have pulled back from supporting a national market to focus on our local market that we can actually support ourselves, and as such some distributor probably off loaded their stock to a bulk buyer. The price in this instance should not be seen as a reflection of quality.

I can assure you however, that we take the utmost attention and pride in the spirits we produce, and are proud of our contributions to the craft spirits market.

I encourage you to try the gold version of our rum for perhaps a different experience as it has been very well received by both experienced and neophyte rum drinkers alike. If that doesnt strike your fancy either, well the only thing i can say is there are hundreds of rums out there in the world, and "we" are bound to not care for a portion of them.

Slainte and aloha

I appreciate you taking the time to respond, Dave. And I wish you the best with your products. As my wife will tell you, I'm not known for my good taste.
