I managed to secure myself a bottle of Alfred Lamb special consignment 1949 can't bring myself to open it. The other night I had the pleasure of opening my Xmas gift 'diplomatic 2000' instantly entered my rum hall of fame

Havana Club 3

Put away until Mojito and Daiquiri season starts. Haven't even cracked the lid, so don't know about the taste.
I used the S & C in a Mai-Tai the other day.....it worked out very well.

Walked into a local store that I have not checked in a while. Picked up 2 bottles Grand Havana and noticed they had 6 bottles of Pyrat Pistol marked down to $5.00 each. Not my favorite rum but for the price I like it. Also picked up a bottle of La Mauney.

In my latest purchase I had a few old favourites and one new one for me: R.L. Seales 10 Year Old from Barbados.

It's very good, but I think the price is a little too much for it to become one of those I always need to have to hand. The Bacardi 8 from Bahamas is being reached for more than the Seales right now...and that is very good value for money too.

I just ordered Ron millionario xo special reserva! Here in Sweden a bottle COSTs around 80 us dollars!!! That seems as a real bargin to me, as i have read that it normally COSTs around 100 dollars?

This rhum seems to meet my preferences in sipping rhums compleatly! When it comes to rhum i love full bodied, sweet, smooth rhums with a lots of flavours, rather than dry whisky-like rhums! Then i rather sipping a good scotch!

A good sipping-rhum for me is almost like a dessert drink! A sweet Heavy rhum and a nice piece of dark chocolate is one of my favourite desserts! (Other than that i like Stilton and a good wine! )

So yeah, i looking forward to this rhum. It sounds delicious!
