Adding rums to the favorite list
Ed,
A couple of things I like don't seem to be listed on the Favorites list as options. Maybe I missed them; the list isn't exactly bereft of names. My liking them isn't of course a criteria, but notably I'd mention:
Mt Gay XO
Barrilito 3 star
Cruzan Single Barrel
All three occupy a place on my shelf and in my reckoning of top notch rums.
Perhaps this has been discussed elsewhere and I'm missing it.

I also noticed today that I couldn't locate Oronoco on the list.

It's missing a couple of my favorites, such as Gosling's Old Rum, but still a great list!

At last count, does anybody happen to know exactly how many different Rum brands are out there? And also, how many total Rums are out there?

I'll be adding most of those missing rums tomorrow, some like Mount Gay Extra Old, Mount Gay Extra Old, Cruzan Single Barrel and Goslings Old rum are already in the database. I missed Oronoco, and will add it all tomorrow. It has not been my usual motivation to add rums until I have more than a name to add to the list and when I changed db platforms so rums didn't migrate well.
My best guess is that there are about 3000 rum bottled by distilleries today but the number of private labels could be double that.
Try searching the list with your browser edit tools and you'll find Zaya and a couple of others.

Of the rums listed above on Temptryst's Apple is not yet on the list. Oronoco for example is listed under Brazil and Oronoco Rum Ltd, even though everyone knows them as Diageo. The label gives Oronoco Rum Ltd credit for the rum and since it's from Brazil I thought it would be a lot easier to find under Brazil than Norwalk, CT.
