This is a tough price point, but Ron Abuelo, and Babancourt would get my vote, and you can sip Khukri and Brugal at this price also.

You'll get no complaints out of me on Sailor Jerry. What a fun, inexpensive rum to play with! Much better than the Captain.

If I ever was drunk enough to go out and get another tattoo (which I won't), I'd want the Sailor Jerry girl!

Which begs the question...If you were to get that tatoo...Where would you have it placed?

I think the key word there was "Another". Which means Primate must have one already. Are rum drinkers pre-disposed to tattoos? I got mine while I was a oenophile, but now that I'm enjoying rum more ...... who knows?

By the way, my favorite inexpensive sipper (under $20) is Cruzan 5 year old Estate ..... with an ice cube. It has a unique oak flavor reminiscent of a fine, aged cabernet. But to pay $5 extra, I can get Pampero, which I love more, but which breaks the $20 barrier.

If I was foolish, full of myself and in my 20's again, I'd probably put that pretty little girl on "one of the guns". But the "guns" ain't what they once was - which is why most guys should probably stay away from those laughable "barbed wire" or "tribal tattoos" around the bicep - unless you plan on looking like Lou Ferrigno for a very long time!!!

Probably place that girl someplace only I can see, or can be seen with the shirt off (which is another mistake at my age)!!!

Yes, I do have one. One. And a mistake that was! Drunk and 19 years old. This was back before the commonplace clean studio/sterile needle places that are on every corner today. Mine came at some dump around the corner from an army base, and the needle gun was pulled out of a coffee can full or murky dark water!!! What fun!!!

Inexpensive? Anyone who mentioned Barbancourt Three or Five Star, either Ron Abuelo or Abuelo 7 Year, and Cruzan Estate Diamond (discontinued) is right on the money.

The Five Star is on its way up in the price range, so buy while the buying is good.
