Default Hope to learn much more than i know.. and it will be easy ;)

Have a nice day to all.

I don't have so much time for my hobby, so i will be an good reader.

I don't drink so much any kind of alcool, but from the time that i tasted a good rum (Malecon seleccion esplendida 1976), i started to search new good one.

I don't have a teacher and simply make test drinking rums in single glass, but 'cause this i never found very good rums.

Sometimes i made a present to myself buying on line a bottle of rum that "claim" to be good, and not alway is true for my taste.

Hoping to read and learn much more, so that i can have my "taste profile" and search only for rums that are good for me.

Best drink to all

So which rums have you tried, and which ones did you like the most?

A great way to find rums that you may like are to go to bars and order a glass or two neat. Try them out and see if the bartender knows what they are talking about when it comes to rum. You may find a bottle you really like and then can pay the higher price knowing you will enjoy it fully.

Default Ciao , Lucio !

Sei fortunato, Italy is a great country, with excellent liquor & wine shops. I go on vacation near Imperia each year, and the choice of products is great. The bars and restaurants are wonderful - BUT, you must obviously know what you want and take your time in reacting to the choices. Europe is old in culture...and appreciating a glass, even in a small, tiny, hole-in-the-wall bar; can be an enlightening, cosmic experience. Rhums from Italy are my favorites. I love French DOM-TOM Rhums also. They push the fermentation/distillation process to a level similar to fine Cognacs. Yeh, this is my opinion only. The Italians (primarily Samaroli, Caroni & Velier products) are capable of selecting, raising & bottling Rums which surpass even the foreign French Rhums. They are rarely producers of Rum. Check out your local fine spirits shop & let the owner know what you are interested in. Lucky Man (E,L & P. 1970) you are !
