Smile Creole Shrubb recipe

This Christmas I want to make something special for the yearly X-mas parties. I have decided to try out an Homemade Creole Shrubb. But I cant find a recipe. Therefore I hope someone in here Can help mé out.
Where Can I find a recipe for a good Creole Shrubb?

Anything else would likely be a pale imitation.

But if you must try, the back of the bottle gives a fairly detailed description:

"...a blend of white rum and aged rum infused with bitter orange peels and creole spices that have been slowly brewed together and macerated with pure sugar cane syrup in oak casks."

Haha. You're probably right.
I have manged to find one recipe with Rhum Clément, simple syrup, orange peel, cinnamon and vanilla.
My one question is, though it might be a simple one, whether I add the simple syrup with the orange peel or I Add it later with the spices??
