Default My favorite rum

I can't find them in your list.
It is the outstanding Courcelles 1972, Guadeloupe.
And DON PAPA RUM, from Negros, Philippines. Excellent to drink pure or to use for Cocktails.

Default New cowboy in town

Hello.

Im Jakob, from Denmark.

My job is to sell wine and spirits in Boutique. Im always on the look for information about products, hence my interest in this site.

In 2013 i recived my certificate from WSET Level 3, systematic approach to blind tasting.

And for the past few years, I have been focused on the correct glassware to a certain type of drink. (Wine, beer and spirit).

Hope to find some great info and connections.

Red face Introduction

Hi, I am new and reside in SE Qld, Australia. This is my introduction post to this forum and hope I don't get 'banned' as I am not a rum drinker (never tried it).

My Brother and sister in law love rum.....does that count?

The reason for me joining is to get an answer to the question I have asked in the 'Rum Questions/Discussions' section.

I would think that perhaps only an Aussie may have the answer.

Sorry for the intrusion but I won't get in anyone's way.

Default Hello from Belgium

Hello, I'm Robin from Ghent, Belgium. After a night drinking some cheap Bacardi last year, I bought a bottle of Havana Club 7 years the week after. I've been loving sipping rum ever since and slowly but steady gathering a small collection.

I'm looking forward for some interesting discussions about rum, as a lot of my friends aren't really into rum (more Gin and Wiskey drinkers) so they don't get my enthusiasm. :-)

cheers!
Robin

Hello. I'm Chris from Charlestown in southern Indiana. I have loved rum for years, but living only around 20 miles north of Louisville, Kentucky it's hard to find anyone to discus it with in this land of bourbon.
Interestingly enough, I visited this site quite a while back and bought a shirt with "You can't lay on the beach and drink rum all day if you don't start in the morning." on the back, but I never joined up. Oh well, better late than never.

Hi all - I'm Smee. I'm not sure when I first became a rum man... but I have quite the sweet tooth, so no wonder my drink of choice comes from sugarcane.

Been lurking around here for a few years, decided it was time I joined.

Default Uncorrupted, yet.

Hello! Though I've had some taste and smell of rum, can't say I'm already good at rum-talks, that's why I'm here to learn whatever there is about rums. Its quite interesting to see "professionals" talk about this stuff

Default Brief Intro

New to the site - looks like a great place to celebrate the joy of rum.

I never had an allegiance to any particular type of libation. Then met my wife who was rum-dedicated. As we explored various types of rum over the years, we have enjoyed them in places like Puerto Rico, Grenada, Captiva Island, Florida's East Coast amongst others.

Nothing better than trying a new brand / bottle with some music, some water in sight and a nice breeze......

Default new to the forum

Good morning all.

A long time rum lover - I think I have about 50-60 different kinds at home.

A number of different favourites (I'm a Canuck so there will be some extra u's in my posts (colour, honour, favour etc.)

I think El Dorado is a really underrated rum (at least here, Ontario) it's much cheaper than the Appleton's Equivalent (12 year old, 21 year old, etc.) and I think much better.

Also a big fan of Trini rums (1919, 1824).

Can highly recommend Admiral Rodney from St. Lucia too.

Heading to St. Maarten for a week, looking forward to trying the local rums.
