Which store? Thanks! And, is that just one bottle, or bottles?

It is $8.99 a bottle online at Bevmo. The $4.99 is likely mispriced.

Though BevMo stopped listing this quite a few weeks back - the few remaining stores that still maintain stock, appear to have knocked it down to $6.99 a bottle.

Thanks, Matusalem! I got 2 more cases from the Pasadena Bevmo for $6.99. They even let me use my 5% discount coupon!

Thanks for that generous invite. I'll look you guys up on my next trip up there.

I have a hankering to replicate a trout fishing trip we did some years ago..High Meadow Streams from Truckee down to Bishop along the Sierra Nevada Spine.

This next trip will be better equipped with rum!

How about opinionated inquiry? How would you guys that have tasted SVS, equate it's best usage? Strickly a mixing rum as a gold required recipe ingredient or is it sip-able over ice or neat?

Personally I think it tastes pretty damn good for less than $10 / bottle. It's a slight hair sharp for my sipping preference (even with a cube of ice added), but far from mediocre or one dimensional enough for me to dismiss out of hand as solely a cocktail cutter.

Extra Gold mixes exceedingly well with coconut water. We particularly like it over coconut water cubes.
