Default Rum discovery

I have joined this forum to learn more about rum and a recent rum discovery. I enjoy rum including Goslings and Mount Gay however I am no rum coniseeur. Over the Christmas holidays my 84 y o mother had a bottle of rum which she gave to me. She had no idea how old it was or where it came from. It was hidden away in a closet likely there for years. Before opening it I thought I would like to learn more about it. I tried to attach a photo but the upload kept failing- here is the information from the bottle - it has a white cap and reads Ron Añejo - Ron Matusalem 15 Anos combinado de bebidas Santiago de Cuba - Garzon No. 357 Ronera Caney NC 8305 I welcome any information you can share with me about this rum.
Happy New Year -Cheers

I can't help you with your bottle, but welcome to the forums anyway.

Thank you for the welcome , I see the photo of the bottle did attach although sideways. I am hoping someone out there with a lot more knowledge about rum than me can provide me with some insight into this rum.
