Default good afternoon

Good afternoon all, my name is Squire (my real name), I am a retired gentleman who learned about this site from a podcast interview with David Driscol and Mr. Hamilton, paid a visit and have now joined.

I began drinking distilled spirits about 50 years ago and in the ensuing time have enjoyed high rye Bourbons, Highland Malts, Canadian whiskys such as Lot 40 and Wiser's Legacy. My affair with rum began by a chance meeting with a young lady on the beach at Panama City during Spring break 40 years ago. That relationship lasted only a weekend but my affinity for rum remains. We keep on hand a couple of aged rums, Bacardi 8 yr and Appleton 12, with most of our rum use being mixing with the light styles buying whatever the local has on sale.

There are some informed voices on this Board and I look forward to learning and participating in the forums.
