Post Don Lorenzo lovers

We are Kathy and Andy Ford. We met Ed in 2000 off St. Croix during our two year livaboard on S/V Adventure,Prout 38 and enjoyed his company and his rum. Really glad Ed Is still rumming. We now live in CA sans boat.
While in the Virgins, we greatly enjoyed Cruzian rum and still do. In the Bahamas we found Don Loenzo Dark and Gold. At about $2.50 a bottle, it was love at first sip/gulp (the taste was unbelievable too).
As your site confirms, it is not available in the US. I was told that it is brewed by Tod Hunter-Mitchell Distillers who also make Ron Ricardo Rum. how does this rum compare and is it available in the US.
Glad we found you.

Kathy and Andy, glad you found me after all these years. Sorry to say the days of $2.50 drinkable rum are over. Neither of those brands are imported and if they were the federal tax would be $2.17 a bottle.
Hope to see you again in LA, I was two weeks ago and will be back soon.

When I dream up a better job, I'm going to take it. In the meantime, the research continues.
