Default Barrel Aged Thoughts

We, 3 rum loving guys from Germany, have started a bilingual blog project: Barrel Aged Thoughts

http://barrel-aged-thoughts-english.blogspot.de/

You can already find some rum reviews, which will be accompanied with posts about rum drinks (especially the Mai Tai comparisons and history).

Have a lot of fun following us!

Edit: Bear with us, since we are not native English speakers. But we will improve and correct major mistakes as we find them. Critics are welcome!

Keep it up. There's a real shortage of reviews on the rarer estate bottlings; your site and reviews are going to be something I watch with a little envy and a lot of interest.

Terrific read. Thanks so much.

Wish I could get a hold of the Port Mourant stuff. My favorite of the El Dorado single barrels is the PM (Port Mourant still), so I think I know what you are getting at when you mention the distinctive flavor profile.

I've been lucky enough to get the current line of Samarolis and only one of the Cadenheads - not the one you review, and so I am intrigued.

Keep up the great work!

Thank you very much for your kind words!

I've done another review. This time it's about the brand new Cadenhead's cask Strength Jamaica from Hampden Estate, named JMLR aged 12 years. It has just been bottled and released last month, in october 2012, and comes with a pungent 62,1% abv.

For more details read the review at:

All the best,
Flo
