Admiral Rodney from St. Lucia's Distillers, which is back at SAQ (while it lasts) and Cruzan Estate Single Barrel. There was 15% discount on a 2 bottles purchase. The Admiral is some incredible stuff, wayyyy better than the Chairman's.

@Ben
One is £39.95 the other £18.95. No possible comparison...

I've also made some shopping during that 15% weekend. Appleton Estate Master Blenders Legacy and El Dorado 5yo.

Found a bottle of Gran Reserva Zaya for $21.74 in a "buy 6 get 25% off sale" and decided to indulge myself a bit. I'd enjoyed my bottle of Zacapa 23 solero and I felt they might be similar.

I'm kind of mixed on it. On one hand it's a very nice rum, with no burn going down and lots of brown sugar and vanilla. But the complexity isn't there for me and the aftertaste vanishes quickly. Kinda regret buying it. But for the price (only ~$6 more than Gosling's) I'll probably end up just using it as a premium mixer for non-soda based drinks.

Grabbed a bottle of Old Port, it is a nice rich rum.
Also on the scotch side, grabbed two bottles of Ardbeg Galileo today since it was just released here in BC.

Abuelo Centuria , a 30 years old solera from Panama. Their ''star''... Not that impressed! But really great stuff. Serious deep brown colour. Needed to be aired a lil bit. Still one of my greatest rum.

The Master is some good stuff, from what I remember. In fact I had a better impression from it than the 21 years.

Where did you buy it? The Anejo sold here is very good for its age.

I bought the Old Port last time I was in BC. My impression was so-so. Isn't there a lot of caramel added to this rum?

Returned from Florida with two bottles of ED...12 yr and 15 yr. Also picked up a bottle of Angel's Envy Bourbon. If you are like me and somewhat on the fence about Bourbon, you ought to give this a try...it might just make you a fan of the spirit.
