Default Hello everyone...

... My name is Rob and I'm from just north of Toronto but Barbados is my happy place. I've recently begun my journey into the world of rum. I've always been kind of a "beer guy" and had never considered sampling some finer rums as I've never really been into spirits at all (apart from the odd bourbon of which only a couple I really enjoyed.) Anyway, I recently had my first sip of MGXO and it floored me in. Man, was it good. So good in fact that I'm angry with myself for never giving finer rums a chance. Now I'm eager to learn as much as I can and sample as much as I can (responsibly of course.)

I've spent the last few months doing modest research in my spare time and while I'm still very much a rum newbie (and will be for quite some time) I'm finally comfortable engaging in conversation (or at lease asking questions) about this delicious stuff.

My goal is to begin building a modest shelf and share it with friends.

Hi everyone, I decided to do away with a "handle" altogether so, if I may, please allow me to introduce my self by my real name - "Rob."

(formerly The Sarge.)
