I saw this at the liquor store today for the first time. List price was $19.50. I considered buying a bottle to try, but I was already buying a bunch of other things.

Default Eclipse Black vs. Sugar Cane Rum

I just tried Eclipse "Gold," and although it is good, it's not nearly as good as the Sugar Cane Rum as a mixer. How does the Eclipse Black compare to the Sugar Cane Rum.

Completely different, lots of spice and a good kick from the extra strength. I just came back from Barbados where I saw it in all the rum shops I visited.

There are a number of rums at higher proofs coming to the market. I'm glad to read that it is being distributed in Barbados. Sometimes these products are targeted to the export market.
