It will be interesting to see how it fares against the Wray & Nephew product which presently enjoys the lion's share of the white rum market in Jamaica. The press release talks about smooth drinkability but doesn't mention that it has been aged and then carbon-filtered in order to attain that smooth taste.

I'm only been drinking rum about 40 years and I've yet to find a white, overproof rum that is smooth, but the research continues.
