The p.i.n.k. Spirits Company announced the launch of the world's first, ultra-premium imported Rum, Tequila, Gin, White Whiskey, and Sake all of which are infused, like its award-winning predecessor p.i.n.k. vodka, with flavorless caffeine and guarana.

p.i.n.k. rum is the world's first 80 proof, ultra-premium white rum, imported from Holland, distilled from the finest black strap sugarcane molasses, and infused with caffeine and guarana. The recipe for p.i.n.k. rum was developed by one of the world's most renowned rum blenders in Holland and contains a blend of 3-to-5 year ultra-premium aged rums from the Caribbean.

"the world's first 80 proof, ultra-premium white rum" is quickly becoming the world's most abused marketing slogan.

Just how many world renowned rum blenders are there in Holland, and can we assume all the world renowned rum blenders in the Caribbean were busy that day?

P.I.N.K.s tequila should be released in the next couple weeks. I believe this will be the first test to see how the rest of their line-up will be. Vodka is meant to be neutral, but tequila is meant to have its nuances.

But at $40/bottle, itd have to be some pretty damn good white rum!

If there is a world renowned master blender of rum in Holland, there must be other rums from Holland................

I believe the talent in Holland is not so much in making rum as in purchasing large amounts of old rums (and other spirits) and blending them optimized for the European palette.

There are certainly a lot of Guyanese rums blended in Holland (obviously due to the historical links between the 2 countries). Scheers (http://www.rum.nl/)have one of the largest collections of aged Guyanese rums in the world which they blend to order
