Molasses as health cure

I was researching about blackstrap molasses on the web and i found this on a website:

I have no idea if its really good for all these things..? what do you think?

well, if it's true that molasses cures just about everything, then drinking a bit rum everyday will probably extend your life.

Old remedies that claimed to cure everything often included molasses and herbal extracts, dissolved in a tincture base of alcohol (rum).
