About noon local time yesterday I received a telephone call from a number I didn't recognize and was delighted to hear from friends on the sailing sloop St Brendan anchored in Bequia. There is now wireless internet available to yachts anchored off some of the islands so with Skype, affordable communication is now possible.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to meet my friends for some more research as they sail toward Martinique but it was good to talk to them. Fair winds.
