Can someone suggest some good hot coffee drink recipes?

I already tried the monte cristo, that was interesting.

I did it with coffee liquer and cointreau with some whipped cream. The coffee I am using is bustelo, a spanish expresso blend, but made in a drip machine for a wonderful, but strong coffee :)

Cafe Bustelo is rich and delicious. Try mixing your strong expresso with a fine rum cream for a delicious treat. One of my favorite rum creams uses blue mountain coffee from Jamaica with rum and cream... heavenly.

I'm a big fan of fine coffees, including the Kona. For many years, I received shipments of special coffees from Gevalia (http://www.gevalia.com) from great regions of the world regularly.

Living in Miami, we are heavily influenced by the Cuban coffee and fine expresso has long been available on every corner, even before Starbucks arrived. My wife Robin makes the best cup of cafe au lait I've ever experienced -- every morning, made with Starbucks expresso beans freshly ground, topped with whipped cream.

A small, very strong dose of expresso with a good rum cream is heavenly to me.

In a previous life, I owned part of a small coffee roasting company in Berkeley which operated out of the part of the old Heinz factory warehouse. There is nothing like a good cup of freshly roasted coffee to get you off the floor in the morning.

From that experience, I'm more than a little spoiled. Unfortunately, in order to grow we would have had to spend a lot of money on a bigger roaster, pay a lot more rent and get all kinds of insurance in order to stay in business. One of the things I learned from that experience is that it is rare for a large company to be able to offer the service and products made by small producers who put their name on every product they sell. Every bag of coffee we sold had been roasted within the last 8 hours.

Like rum, I try coffees from around the world and while some don't immediately go to the top of my list of favorites, the experience of the journey can be better than the destination. Today I find most of the mass-marketed coffees to be over-roasted, called French roast in the industry. Over roasting is like adding sweeteners to rum, it can hide a multitude of sins.

For my coffee, I prefer to add a heavier rum that doesn't just dilute the coffee but adds flavor and isn't overpowered by the java. Condensed milk lasts longer on a boat but finding one which isn't sweetened is sometimes a challenge.

You can't lie on a beach and drink rum all day if you don't start in the morning.

Gevalia is a Swedish coffee company since 1853, all drink it all the time. But i prefer fresh roasted Italian espresso and the Blue Mountain and Kona.

This is my occasional yummie:

1 part strong espresso
A drissle of Monin Dark Chocolate syrup
Warm whipped milk to the top and over the milk a dollop of whipped cream
Top with grated dark quality 70% chocolate and some muscovado sugar.
All served in a tall glass with a straw.

For everyday: Different lattes
