Ron Centenario XX Anos

Is this a fairly new rum? I am a fan of Ron Centenario Commerativo so I tried this and can say if you like a sweet rum, as I do, this is fantastic. I find it odd though that is is not list on Centenario Internacional website nor in the Ministry of Rum database, that is why I am wondering if it is a new rum.

This exquisite rum, surrounded by leather with two crests embossed, has been available in Florida for the past two years. Recently, we've seen Centenario Fundacion XX Anejos in more liquor stores here and it's gaining popularity. It's often compared to Zacapa Centenario 23. In some of our blind tastings, it is sometimes preferred.

I have this rum and it is available here. A rich, flavorful rum that would be considered on the sweeter side. When I come across an incredibly strong cigar (such as a La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero) , this rum is a good choice for a pairing. It can stand up to the cigar without being overwhelmed, buts helps intensify the flavors. A very good rum.

This rum sounds good. Do you happen to know who their importer is and if they distribute to the northeast at all?

Adam - I just picked up a bottle in NY at Astor over the weekend, so it's in the NE just recently since I had not seen it before. Not sure if that means Empire or Phoenix here in NY or someone else. I plan on picking up another bottle and will ask.

I did pick up a bottle of this while I was in Orlando last month, havent opened it yet. Not surprised its distributed in NY, they get all the good stuff, leaving control states like PA to suffer. Hopefully they'll expand.
