I was out at my favourite store, Williams Sonoma. I love checking out the goodies and gadgets that seems to be everywhere. Out of the blue I noticed that they sell a product called Blood Orange Bitters. Has anyone tried this product before in a mixed drink of any kind? I picked up the bottle, hoping it would be nice...though I havent tried it yet.

Oddly enought they also sell simple syrop for like $10 a bottle, seems a bit of a waste for that...but thought I would give the bitters a shot.

I'm not familiar with which brand W&S sell, but I happen to be a huge fan of blood-orange bitters.

I think it's a fantastic addition to just about any cocktail.

Upon further examination of the product, it is made by a company called "Stirrings". I had orignally thought it was a williams sonoma brand, but clearly it is not. Reading the ingredients, it is made with cane sugar. I recall reading elsewhere on here that this was preferred to corn syrop. They have a website www.stirrings.com they have a few bitters and essences to choose from, plus a large number of pre-mixed martini type concentrates.
