Gin or vodka?
Last night, while I did end my evening with a rum cocktail, I started it with an Old Fashioned made with Maker's Mark. The bartender told me it was the first time she'd made an Old Fashioned in over 8 years.

I started my evening with a double pour of Zaya and Barritts with a wedge of lemon and lime. I cant say what is next until I decide.

My Zaya and Barritts was very rich and delicious. Now for a little bite to eat and the next rum decision........
And, by the way, In the past when it was a Martini, it was always gin, "dirty". I am Italian, and I do love my olives!
The best way I ever enjoyed Vodka was on the rocks with 3 Blue Cheese stuffed olives and a little olive juice.

Coke is too sweet for me, so is diet pepsi. It must be diet coke....
On this forum, I say I had a captain and diet, and people look at me funny for the mixer and not the rum? haha, forgiving crowd!
9.9999999 times out of 10, I'll drink rum and diet instead of rum and regular cola. Being somewhat conscious of my weight, I've been an only-diet drinker for about 6 years (oddly that coincides with how long I've known my wife), so I'm just used to ordering diets.
If I'm at a bar and my options are the usual Captain or Bacardi for rums, I'll usually order a Capt & Diet. Tonight I was pleased to be able to order a Sailor & Diet instead.
Then I came home and had 2 Zaya and Gingers.
I'm also finding more and more that my dislike for bourbon is refusing to go away. I much prefer Canadian whiskey to the Kentucky stuff. 2 Old Fashioneds in 2 nights, one with Canadian, one with bourbon...Canadian wins hands down.
