Looks like an Italian rum from Cuba, named After Hemingway's villa.

One thing I can definitely tell you is that it is over priced, here in the UK. The brand is looked after by a company called 'Boutique Brands' in the UK, who specialise in ...Boutique brands. They brought a sample of this rum for me to try about two years ago. I thought it wasn't bad with the heavy vanilla, cocoa, tobacco and subtle orange notes that I like in an aged rum. But it's definitely not worth the Ј140 ($280) that they are trying to push it out for!!! Fortunately I was judging a rum tasting competition recently, where the Vigia was one of the many rums, so after the competition it conveniently went home with me....for my services.
