Have anyone tried this Maraschino liqueur in drink mixing with rums?

Yep. The Luxardo is a slightly better than average maraschino liqueur. Can't think of anything much else to report on this one - meh
Have you tried using the syrup out of the maraschino cherry jars?

I`ve been hunting the supermarkets for Maraschino jars in 2 weeks now..and they`re gone! replaced with something "slimy" in a plastic thing..
I think i`ll have to order online.

A little Luxardo goes a long way. It's disappearing about as fast as my Pernod...
I love the Maraschino in a Demerara Dry Float, but 1/4 oz at a time. However, IMHO, that drink is worth buying a bottle of Luxardo.

Would it be a good idea to leave out the syrup if using Luxardo in that drink? or maybe Luxardo isn`t so sweet? on the other hand there`s a lot of citrus..

I would try the maraschino cherry juice if you can't find Luxardo, but I wouldn't leave it out.

Yes, Luxardo is pretty sweet. And strong of taste. The combination means that little is needed, but I think it adds a nice little oddity to the Dry Float, and makes it much more interesting than without. If you don't like sweet, I would drop the sugar syrup, or make my passionfruit syrup less sweet. But with 2-1/2oz of lime juice, I think it's not sweet enough (but that's me for sure, since I like sweet).

Well, i like sweet but not cloyingly so...but i do have a sweet tooth for sure.:D
But i also like bitter flavors, for instance i just love Campari.

In the US, among better mixologists, Luxardo has a good reputation, while everyone doesn't not agree that it is the best, it is well respected.

I read that this one also made by Luxardo called Triplum Orange Triple Sec, tastes just like Cointreau but is half the price, anyone tried it?

I usually use Maraska, but Luxardo is easier to find. They taste very similar to me, although I've never tried them side by side.
Maraschino liqueur is a necessary ingredient in "Hemingway" daiquiris.

Anyone ever come across Luxardo Maraschino Liquer or Maraska in the Boston area?
No one seems to have a clue south of Braintree.
All I can find down these parts is Stock.
Thanks

Tiare,
You are a visionary. I recall you found Ting which is a favorite of mine. My favorite Rum drink by far is a Hemingway daquiri.
1 oz lime
2 oz Grapefruit juice
1 oz Cruzan 2 year light (I'm sure there are many substitutes)
1/4 oz Luxardo Marchisno Liquer
dash of simple syrup
I know Hemingway would never add sugar but I'm not Ernest and while I love tart/sour this drink needs a little sweet. Mix the ingredients above in a shaker with a little ice and 1 coconut water ice cube. shake and serve in a martini glass....................Pure Heaven.
