I found the website to Damoisseau Distillers and e-mailed them to find out if they could ship to Canada.

The reply was no but they expect to debut their rhum in the US in late 2008.

Can anybody confirm or deny????

How come when I search for Damoisseau Distillers on this page, it brings me to Haleakala Distillers who make Braddah Kimo?

First off, I wish Haleakala distributed to the mainland. Second off, do you have a link to the website for Damoisseau so I can check it out?

Damoiseau may be coming by the end of the year. About four years ago I was in Guadeloupe talking to the distillery about exporting their rum to the US and they told me they had a contract and showed me labels. Then I met the importer to told me he never had a contract with them. But I believe it may happen in the next few year or so.

Yup...here it is:

The person I heard from was Geoffrey CHAMBONNIERE, Export Manager.

PS Hank, have you tasted the blanc or ambre??

Thanks for the link! Theyve got a great selection of vieux and hors d'age, I hope to see it soon!

Yes, when I was down in the Islands last year I tasted the Blanc. It is a good example of white rhum agricole, and makes a great Ti Punch. I also tasted the rhum vieux, which is aged I believe 3 to 4 years. It was very good. Rhums from Guadaloupe are very bold and flavorful, maybe not as polished as those from Martinique. I have Rhum Bologne blanc, which is a bold herbal white. The Damoisseau is not as bold as the Bologne. I, being a lover of rhum from these two Islands, would have these on my shelf.

no worries...glad to help.

I'm trying my best to get some but it is challenging. It all boils down to who has the product and who is willing to ship it internationally.
