I am very excited to see this category in the forum. I've been cooking with rum nearly as long as I've been drinking it. Probably my first taste of rum came from rum cakes my Mom made for Christmas. She also used to make a killer pineapple up-side down cake that had rum in it. As with cocktails rum is such a versatile flavor that it lends itself to sweet and savory dishes very well.

I'm looking forward to seeing some of your favorite recipes and I'll try to share some of mine.

I agree, rum is really versatile for both cooking, baking and drinking and colds and....................

I love to use rum in cooking!
