Robert's post about Porfidio's bottle has moved me to ask: what to do with the leather bags that Pampero Anniversario comes in after you've cracked the bottle? It's hard to just throw them away, but my marble collection can be handily contained in one bag. Razor strops? Dog hats? Storage sacks for pieces o' eight? Inquiring minds want to know. My Centenario XX bottle poses a similar question, but it's so cool that I could see keeping the empties around "just because." But those Pampero sacks are starting to pile up!

lol - it should be compulsory to keep pieces of eight in those bags!!

Not my bag, but the only thing I've ever seen those pouches used for is bartender caners keeping their stash in them

those little bags of soft, supple leather come from the sack of the bull, no?

Another important fact that I never would have known had it not been for the wonders of the internet. :D

You mean none of you guys sew them together to make bras? :p

I've seen them used to store fishing hooks, sewing equipment, and for the most part most of the recycled examples I've witness involved sharp or pointed objects being stored in them.

Diamonds - that was a good one angelsword! I hadn't considered that. Now if I could just locate a vacant mine...

Rune bag.

(Random text inside these brackets because I get the message that my message is too short otherwise).

Depending on, well, it might just be perfect for North Haulover Beach (you'll have to ask Burr about this, lol)...

That's funny! Imagine... a guy with his package in this package.

A Pud Pole In A Pretty Pouch.
Franks and Beans to go.
Mr. Lucky In Leather.
Sweetly Swaying Beneath The Suede.
OJ says it fits like a glove.

Reminds me of the hilarious music video from Saturday Night Live: Dick In A Box! (http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/uncensored.shtml)

Thanks, Jimbo, but I not sure how I'm an expert on such matters. I know about Haulover Beach -- it's a special place for special people on Miami Beach -- but I'm not that special.

I use mine to store my flyreels in....sure beats the neoprene pouches that usually come with the reels. Adds a touch of class

I keep dice in one.

I keep the spices I buy for infusions in a Pyrat Cask 1623 box.

Still trying to find suitable uses for my Appleton 21 sleeve/case.

For Christmas, my wife got me a bottle of Pyrat 1623. She thought itd be funny to wrap up the box and bottle of an empty I got from the bar. Needless to say, I got a good chuckle when I peeled off that little sticker to reveal an empty bottle of Cask. Talk about Angel's share! ha!

p.s. she gave me the real thing about 5 seconds later.
