Im more a chef than a baker, so I dont have exact measurements, BUT...

1. Heat up your pan and add butter
2. Toss in half brown sugar and half granulated sugar
3. Wait for mild caramelization
4. Throw in Banana quarters (slice once length-wise and then chop in half)
5. Coat the bananas and allow for full caramelization
6. Take pan away from fire and add Brandy
7. FLAMBEE!!!
8. Sprinkle in cinammon, watch the sparks fly!
9. After the fire subsides, take pan away from fire and add Myers Dark
10. FLAMBEE!!!
11. After the fire goes out, let it reduce until nice and thick
12. Get your vanilla bean ice cream ready
13. Plate bananas on ice cream, drizzle sauce on top
14. Save me some!

Bananas Foster is my stand-by dessert, it's quick, easy, I always have the ingredients on hand and everyone loves it! I like to serve it over coffee flavored ice cream. Sometimes I'll throw in a splash of banana liqueur or orange curacao. I don't use a recipe either, it's much more fun to wing it.:D

Nice. What my wife and I do for a slightly different approach is the add chopped pecans and to serve everything over toasted poundcake.

Overproof rum will also work quite well for the initial flambe. Care needs to be taken, of course, but it's quite an impressive flare.

Best use you'll find for Bacardi 151.

If you double the rum measurements, it's known as Bananas Foster Brooks (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYusPRre07k) party1.gif
