Have enjoyed the Santa Teresa Rhum Orange Liqueur and was wondering if there any any other Rhum based Liqueur's anyone could suggest ??? If you haven't tied this drink I would recommend it highly. Excellent for a change of pace and something different for the new year!!!!!

I suggested the Clement Creole Shrubb because it is orange flavored, and a bit more in the consistency of a Liqueur. Also, there is Rum Jumbie.

Pyrat Savage is an excellent orange rum liqueur IMHO. Very very good.

Instead of an orange liqueur, how about Pyrat XO, a real rum with a pronounced orange note.

I do not know if this has been discussed before, but would Clement Shrubb be a potential substitute for Cointreau or Triple Sec in a Margarita?

I'd be interested in trying, if others have found success with this.

Is the Savage available in the US? The only orange liquor I have seen from Patron is the Cintronage which is pretty good, not overly syrupy since it is 80 proof. Not sure if it is a rum based or not, but makes one heck of s good Margarita.

While Santa Teresa's orange rum is the best orange licquor rum in my opinion there is another Venezuelan one named "El Muco Orange" which I think is quite good....very afforable: 5$ the bottle...cheers, Fabio.

I've used Clement Shrubb, Santa Teresa Orange, and Paula's Orange instead of either Cointreau or Grand Marnier in numerous mixed drinks, including margaritas. Of that group, I like the Santa Teresa best for its complexity.

We've substituted the Creole Shrubb for orange liqueur a few times. It was only successful when used in place of Grand Marnier, as it is too sweet and too little bitter to stand in for either Cointreau or Curacao in most drink recipes.
