Last week I did a corporate rum tasting seminar in Bratislava, Slavakia. It was a very quick trip but I was lucky enough to spend 48 hours in the country checking out some rums, restaurants and meeting some very enthusiastic bartenders.

El Gaucho, Paparazzi and Greenwich have probably the best selections of rum in Bratislava but I have no doubt that by the time I return the selection will be even better.

Dear Ed,

just returned for a quick stint in Bratislava with Stan Vardna from Paparazzi and UFO fame... not sure if you got to UFO... awesome Soviet architecture and also some nice rums including Havana Club Maximo.

I was in Bratislava in January of 1992. I must say not the most pleasant time of the year to be there. Had some good Czechoslovakian (before the split) beer. That's about all I remember about Bratislava...was there for maybe 36 hours.
