Ed..A wonderful theme to open up for the holidays! Here is a link to a New York Daily News piece on "Coquito" (http://www.nydailynews.com/latino/2007/12/15/2007-12-15_loco_for_coquito.html) (pronounced Ko-KEE-Toe) that is famous (or infamous depending on how much you have had) here in Puerto Rico. Have you heard of the new Coquito liqueur, Mi Abuela? Ive ordered some for my bar, but have yet to receive it. I ordered it in September, looks like I missed the holidays!

I have not seen "Mi Abuela". And mine would never have approved having her recipe bottled for commercial sale. ;)

Thanks for that great recipe! I made it for the in-laws last night, and the kids loved it! (nobody over the age of 30 in her family drinks anything other than wine)

I subbed out the Barbancourt Reserve for the Eclipse, and the Zacapa 23 for the bourbon.

Again, wonderful recipe, thanks!
