Greetings All,

I found this site while researching a recent vacation and have been lurking for a few months on and off. Fine rums are a staple of my life and I often times purchase cases at a time from the very Sams ( the Home Depot of fine beverages) that is linked at this site. I live in Ohio but travel often for business and when in Chicago my shopping at Sams is a planned in advance "event".

I have most likely tried and/or purchased 25-30 brands over the years and definitely have a list of favorites as well as mistakes. But since like wine and cigars favorites are in the pallet of the taster, they were MY mistakes only.

Slainte,

Jim

Welcome to the site and feel free to post questions or comments. And thank you for letting everyone know where you live. That helps everyone learn what is available and popular in your area and to help you meet other rum lovers in your area.

Toledo is a very nice city to raise a family and do si affordably, plus when you get a notion to get involved with big city life-Chicago is only 3.5 hours away. You're right about the cigar stores here, we have 3 really good ones at the very least, although I must admit I only buy at them when I stay to smoke, otherwise I purchase on the net or when my travels take me to some of my favorites aound the country like JR's, Cigars International, Corona Cigars, and Ybor City.
