I've had so many requests for this product, and it hasn't been available to me for over a year and a half.
It's FINALLY back in stock, at least for the time being (my distributor didn't get very much of it)
Can anyone explain to me the appeal of Rum Jumbie? I haven't had it.
Cool bottle, though, like Mrs. Butterworth on a Caribbean vacation.

Well, I was just informed today that there are Rum Jumbie "stands" at cruise ship docks throughout the Caribbean, and that when passengers disembark from the ships, they are offered free shots of Rum Jumbie. That's a pretty good way to win a loyal clientele!
Has anyone seen this occur? I'd like to get additional verification of this phenomenon.

I believe I saw such a stand in St. Maarten. I'll check it out this summer.

In the islands there are plain bottles like the one you shared and painted bottles of rum Jumbie, which cost a bit more.
Rum Jumbie (http://www.ministryofrum.com/rumdetails.php?r=437) is a sweet, orange-flavored rum with subtle spices bottled at 40% abv made with aged rum making it a lot more than another flavored rum.

"Mrs. Butterworth on a Caribbean vacation"
One of the best descriptions I've read in a long time!laughing.gif

I tried jumbie at a tasting on a carribean cruise i was on a few years back. I was not fond of the sickly strong and over powering orange flavour.
I would not buy it, but the bottle is cool.
