Just bought/drank a bottle of creole shrubb and o my god is it good. It was in the liquor section but is still 40%alcohol. I had a finger pour with 2 small ice cubes and some orange rind and it was outstanding. What other ways do others like it?

I bought a bottle last night and tried some in a Mai Tai. It was very yummy. I used Appleton 12 and St James Hor de Age as well.

Clement Rhum's Creole Shrubb is indeed a superb apertif as well as a great mixer. As a liqueur it is a cleaner more vibrant alternative to Grand Marnier or B&B or Cointreau. It offers some of the essence of rhum agricole taken to another level of the sublime. I have mixed it with ice tea, lemonade, mimosas, even vodka as a citrus infusion. This rhum nectar like St-Germain made from the elder flower should be a staple in every well stocked bar. As a mixologist it is an essential ingredient and should not be overlooked. Save their old agricole rhums, Creole Shrubb is one of the most unique offerings from Martinique.
As much as I want to like Creole Shrubb, I find that its taste is a bit too much like orange-flavored medicine. For that reason, I only mix with it very lightly, similar to the way Sylbaris describes (and I also like St Germain, and Domaine de Canton as special elixir mix-ins). For a more subtle and exotic citrus-blossum taste, I like Pyrat XO a lot.
