Old bottles of MGXO on Block Island

Just came back from a weekend on block island and scored 2 bottles of the MGXO at the package store there. I didn't get a great look but there could have been 2 to 4 more there. Price 42or43USD.

Come up to Ontario, we have all kinds of MGXO in the round bottle. Only $39 a bottle Canadian, a real bargain. I even bought like 5 bottles a few months ago on sale for like $35.

I am not certain why the price discrepancy as most booze is way more expensive here than in the US.

Is there a taste difference between the old and new bottlings? I think I recall the consensus being there was that there was no difference? Just a new bottle and higher price HA!:(

I was in Barbados a few months back, where i went to Mount Gay. The people in the tasting bar were adamant there was no difference.

i looked at it as this, if there was no taste difference then the old bottle is cheaper. if there is a taste difference well then I get 2 bottles to compare.

How much are they selling the new bottles for down that way? Here the new MGXO are $38-42. I stocked up a few weeks back when the old bottles were still reg priced at $29.99...!

if they had old bottles at 30usd and new at 42usd I broke even then. I think ive seen them here at 50usd or over
