Has Diplomatico Blanco hit US shores yet? I am Arizona so perhaps it hasn't made it this far west. This is a rum I would really like to try so I am hoping it will be distributed widely.

Welcome to the forums Jamie76.

I don't know if the Diplomatico Blanco has hit the mainland USA. I have had the pleasure of consuming a bottle and it is great stuff in my opinion.

This is one clear rum that can be sipped and truly enjoyed neat. No small feat from one here who mainly appreciates dark aged rums.

Thanks Rum Runner...

I've seen a number of reviews on this rum and it really intrigues me. I keep thinking that I seen it at a shop here and so I am hoping when I stop in this weekend it will be there. However, more than likely it was a different Diplomatico rum.

It's a tall bottle. http://www.rndrumreviews.com/RnDRumReviews/Diplomatico_Blanco_-_Daves_Review.html

I haven't seen any in North America in my travels.

I'm also really curious as to when the Diplimatico Blanco will be released in the states. I've been asking around, but no one seems to know anything about it. Any recent news?

The new Diplomatico ultra-premium rum blanco is the bomb.

Since Robert Burr first mentioned the Diplomatico Blanco on 9-11-08 we've had a few sightings, but none for sale, as far as I know.

Most of the info seems to be in the following thread:

Diplomatico Ron Blanco (http://www.ministryofrum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2316)

There seems to have been some problems with wider distribution of the Diplomatico products for which I haven't been able to get an answer as to when their Blanco will be available.

I think I may have gotten my hands on some. When I verify and it is safely in my hands, I will let you know.;)

If anyone is interested in this rum and lives in Florida, you can order this through Kendall FineWineSpirits, also known as West Kendall Liquors. I'm a bit disappointed as I was getting ready to order this and noticed at the last moment they don't ship spirits outside Florida.

Forrest,

Any chance you guys will be carrying this rum some time?

I have seen one bottle of the Blanco in Alberta, brought in for some private tastings to gather opinion. Problem with the product is the pricepoint. In a lot of markets consumers aren't willing to pay a premium price for white rum.

I've tasted it just twice (so that is not a large enough sample to say for sure), and I would be hard pressed to but it at the $50ish dollar price I was quoted. (With all the liquor tax in Canada that would translate into a 30ish price stateside.)

Since the Miami Rum Renaissance Festival is now winding down, for those that attended, has there been any more talk about this rum? Just wondering when they will actually start distributing it more widely around the US.
