I just got an e-mail from my distributor and he offered me a special price on Santa Teresa 1796. Is this of any interest? It will be $29.99/bottle.

Santa Teresa is one of the favorites around here and that's a good price on an iconic rum.

Me too! The 1796 costs around GBP 40 in the UK.

Thanks for posting the offer Seth. Santa Teresa 1796 is a family favorite, but the price doesn't seem to move much. Most places sell it for $34.95 or so and the best price I've seen is your $29.99 offer. If memory serves, you offered this rum for that price previously.

If you want to generate more interest and greater sales, a price point of $25.00 or even $27.50 would likely do the trick. While such a reduction may not be practical, it might be required to achieve the desired effect.

Yes, Michael is right on. For customers who will require shipping, the price per bottle (after shipping) is roughly the same. For example, if I order (depending on the qty) shipping will be around $4 -5/bottle. I think somewhere in the $25 range is more reasonable.

Give 'um the thumb screws! laughing.gifTell them $25. Actually it isn't too much of a joke. The price is a little lower Seth but I'd be tempted to buy more from the other sales you've had. I've had santa teresa once and it was sublime, but so is that zacapa for $49 that I got a few weeks back. No, I'd tell them $25 or your customers are more likely to buy the ED12 thats on sale. Remind him that when stuff goes on sale at your place, mail orders seldom walk away with 1...

I'd love to throw ED 12 in his face, but both rums are his. LOL

Let me see what I can do. It never hurts to ask.

In fact, Seth, make it a package deal: If we buy the 1796 and the El Dorado 12yr together---one good price.

I'd buy in on that.

I have to agree that with shipping, ST 1796 at $29 is not going to grab my cash, though it would off of the shelf.

This does not, though, in any way reduce your awesomeness.

ST 1796 is just under $40 here in NJ, so $29 plus shipping is not quite enough to make me open my wallet.

Unfortunately, I don't think my distributor will be able to make that price. Oh well. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't.
