New local Rum!

Ryan and Wood distillery in Gloucester is launching it's Folly Cove Rum today
(2/10/10)

There are tastings this Friday at Port Wine and Spirits in Newburyport 5-7pm and at Georgetown Liquors on Saturday 2:30-4:30 as well as more to come I'm sure!

Try some if you see it - Bob and Dave at R&W are great guys and the rum is pretty darn good!

Any chance for the state stores in NH?

Always wanting to support a local business, especially if their business is rum.

Don't know, but I'll ask Bob when I see him. I kind of doubt it though - I've dealt a little with the NH Liq stores and they are VERY CONTROLING with what they bring in. Notice they have only recently started expanding the rum selection and only a little bit at a time.... They sell LOTS of Captain!!!

and no other rums popular; there is much education to be done.

However, I find that Pampero Aniversario at a everyday price of $19.99 a great redeeming quality. In fact, pouring out a bit of that spirit now would help raise mine.

I can only imagine how difficult it would be to break into NH's liquor market. Best of luck with the new rum. I will use my Mass connections to snag me a bottle.
