The first one was very good. I'm looking forward to another exciting rum event again this year. It's a wonderful venue. Puerto Rican Culture, Food, Music and Rum will be on proud display.

I had planned to attend as well, but it seems there were some communication problems and I won't be attending after all.

Unfortunately the timing is not good for me either this year.

To anyone on the fence about going - I went last year and it was a great time - plus you'll get to meet a bunch of the folks that hang out here at MoR in person!

I think I'm back in, if I can find a cheap flight, 3 days of rum in the sun, oh yeah...gzzg

Bob. I hope to see you down here again.

I'm sad to hear that Ed will not be attending. It was my pleasure tasting alongside him last year.

I look forward to meeting MoR member pkazimir at the Fest!

Joe AKA leisure master...You will be missed. I look forward to seeing you and your better half again sometime down the road. Spring training for the Red Sox is just around the corner.

Jim, just trying to decide how long to stay as I haven't had a day off since October and work 6 days a week. Bring on the rums, I am really ready for some rum fun.drooling3.gif

The Taste of Rum was another great event organized by Federico and The Rums of Puerto Rico. The tasting organized by Sean was very good and enjoyable. Also our guided tour of Bacardi by David Cid was amazing, a select group of judges were treated to some special stuff. The trip south to Serralles Distillery was another highlight that only a select few receive.
Special thanks to Federico, Sean, David, Luis, Sylvia, Alberto, Javier and the Rums of Puerto Rico amongst others.
Great event, great company and great rums, what better way to spend a few days???

I second the above Bob.

I'll add that Charles Rodriguez alongside David Cid was a fount of information on the Bacardi tour. I know that the judges who passed on that tour were very envious.

The intimate tour of Destileria Serralles (DonQ) was fantastic and a first for me. I especially enjoyed getting to blend our own "DonQ" at the end of the tour. What a treat.

Judging by the throngs of people attending, the Fest event was a huge success. The food was fantastic, the music pumping and the rum was flowing. The company of all made it much more special.

While this new event is relatively small in size, it is big in heart and truly shows off Puerto Rican Spirit and spirits in a most charming way.

A big thank you to our hosts for a job well done.

Let's look forward to next year!

James it was a blast again. Jim I had forgotten about Charles, he along with David were an amazing wealth of knowledge, not just about Bacardi but rum in general. A great way to spend a Saturday morning.
I have posted some photos on my site and am just starting the story line.
