I came across two rum sections......one rum...and the next....rhum???? Is there a difference or is it just spelling?

Rhum is the French spelling, so rhum is likely to come from a French speaking territory such as Guadeloupe or Martinique.

You'll also see Ron (hence my screen name here, my 1st name is James) for spanish rums. Ron Bacardi, Ron Barcelo Imperial, Ron del Barrilito, etc...

question.....
are you saying that the word Ron= the word Rum....or that Ron being used as a name ...or that Ron is being used as sigh of respect or authority as the word "Don" is used in many Spanish speaking countries....

Merci beaucoup.....i will pay more attention to the word rhum and the coloration of where the rum is made......
