Coquito is a really great drink - I had it just a couple of weeks ago for the first time.
Too bad no recipies in that article - just a big tease!

Here is a great recipe from a Viequense.
2 (12 oz.) cans evaporated milk
2 (14 oz.) cans sweetened condensed milk
1 (15 oz.) can coconut cream, such as Coco Lуpez
1 bottle (750ml) plus to taste, Ron del Barrilto Two Star Rum
1/4 cup brandy ( Spanish is best)
Ground cinnamon
10 cinnamon sticks
Mix all ingredients, except cinnamon and cinnamon sticks with a hand whisk and chill. Serve in glasses with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
Felicidades!

Rum Runners recipe is right on. This is an awesome drink and a great alternative to egg nog. Thank you Rum Runner for sharing.

This is an amazing alternative to egg nog...I actually have enjoyed it more!
I have never made it...so here is my chance.
Any rum alternatives to your original suggestion? I haven't seen Ron Del Barrilto in my area.
Would Bacardi 8 work? (Yes, I have become a fan).
Thanks

That sounds delicious!
2 of those and then a walk to get the old blood pumping (then of course followed by to more!).

forrest..Two of those and try to get out of your beach chair! I usually just opt for "I'll lay on my towel!" ...A nice dip in "El Mar Caribe" is refreshing enough to bring everyone around for a nightcap. or three.
